You will come across many different characters in this life;
Some don’t care but some have to be right.
Others catch a wave and are content to stay on that one,
But others look for a new opportunity once it has been done.
Some are 100% driven by their goal,
So other things go as unnoticed as a clock’s toll.
But others drop their duty as soon as a distraction comes along.
They don’t seem to care if it’s right or wrong.
You find those who are just happy to go with the flow,
Whereas the opposite aren’t content with ‘just so’.
Despite the differences we share;
Whether it be our calling or how much stress we can bear.
We must understand and work with each other’s differences,
For we are all under the mercy of God’s deliverance.
How boring would our World be,
If we only had one way that we could see.
It is true that we can become stressed by our different ways,
But that holds no importance in comparison to being a servant who obeys.

Different taste in music, different sorta tunes,
Some touch the soul while others make your body move.
I wanna be different to those who repeat the same song,
I’m not saying I’m right and others are wrong.
But I wanna change from the simple sounds and chords,
I believe funky Jesus music can bring people to the Lord.
How boring it’d be if we were all one mind,
Not everyone wants to hear that sometimes the truth isn’t kind.
But God created us to be diverse.
All songs have a chorus and a verse,
Still may Christ’s music be the ultimate expression of the soul,
Cos both organs and guitars can make us whole.
I’m just trying to stay true to what I feel.
This love of God’s isn’t a one-way deal.
I write from the words that He puts in my mouth,
And He gives me peace and quenches my drought.
Roses are red, and violets are blue?
This cliché doesn’t express truth.
I write and speak from the soul of Christ,
And sometimes my mouth needs to be shut tight.
But I believe in a modern God who speaks to modern needs,
And it is simply my duty to help sow the seed.
